English version-Project Characteristic

This project is co-funded by the EEA Grants and the state budget of the Slovak Republic from the EEA Scholarship Programme Slovakia.

General Characteristic – English version

Main aims: to increase bilateral cooperation between our two institutions —secondary vocational schools. The emphasis will be on creating a balanced partnership on the basis of reciprocity, carried out activities with added value for both parties involved.

The project will allow each other to get to know the different cultural and social environment, experience the international European project-experience - international cooperation, gain new views on addressing topics of common interest – forest, ecological aspects of tourism in NP, teaching, didactic materials

Main educational fields:

  • Exchange and enrichment of knowledge, skills, experience in direct interaction with the foreign institution
  • Mutual exchange of knowledge and experience.
  • Focused to the topics of common interest – the possibilities of ecological forest use, protection versus tourism in NP (national parks)
  • Improve the communication in the English language
  • Learning about the history and culture of Slovakia and Norway
  • Learning to present the nature and „country“ to foreign visitors
  • Increase motivation to include to the European working life at the end of the studies
  • Exchanging experiences, comparison of styles, methods and teaching aids and the establishment of common materials for teaching common subjects.
  • Understanding the importance of bilateral cooperation and actively be involved in the creation of more opportunities for institutional cooperation with the continuity and development of mutually fruitful bilateral relations.
  • Gaining of new social and business contacts, expanding of knowledge horizon in professional subjects and their use in practice, and better application in daily teaching practice.

 

Target groups: students, teachers and school management form both schools. Mobility helps to reduce regional economic and social differences and to develop the society. It allows going abroad students who, for economic reasons, lack of confidence and the support of the neighbourhood, could not afford to travel and take part in the activities, the project provides.

Activity: Development or preparation of new teaching aids and methods:

ICT - Power Point Presentations   - teaching aids -  PP Presentations + quiz questions in Norwegian/Slovak – national language and also in English language. The best - selected parts of these teaching aids will be published – as a teaching text

We will do the Project propagation at our school and project web page, school exhibition, photo presentations, printed materials – bulletins, press release, public press conference,...

During the April 2015 (20th – 26th) there was a mobility of 6 Norwegian students and 2 teachers to our school in Slovakia. We were exploring together our school, educational system and the project topics, the Slovak nature and beauties of our country.

The project will continue with the mobility of our students, teachers and school management to Norway.
